No, this isn't going to be anything particularly spectacular. This is where I will write about . . . gaming.
When I say a brief mentioning, I mean a brief mentioning

I've had a few good Demigod matches (by "good", I mean that I didn't suck and my team actually won), but I find myself haunted by a little question . . . was I actually playing multiplayer?  Does anyone out there know if there is an easy way to spot if other players are AI?

Anyway, I've been mucking around with Empire: Total War.  At this point, I have determined that I am playing altogether too many strategy games, and perhaps this would be a good time to go back to FPS's for a while.  Empire: Total War seems incredibly complicated and, in fact, more than a little intimidating.  Maybe I just need to jump in and play (and lose in humiliating ways) a few times.

Press Tab.  Players with a ping of zero are AIs.

During the game, hit the Tab key.

If the simspeed and ping is 0, then they are AI players.

Real human players usually have a positive number for simspeed and ping.

E:TW is taunting me. Due to a bug which causes the game to crash every time I click on certain fleets (2 full fleets of heavy first rates ) I cannot complete my Russian conquest of the new world... The year is 1781, and Russia controls Europe, India, and everything in between. But I cannot go on, since my fleets make the game crash, and without them I cannot defeat the pirates who otherwise sink my army carrying brigs...
