No, this isn't going to be anything particularly spectacular. This is where I will write about . . . gaming.

Cutting to the chase: my favorite gaming podcast is "Three Moves Ahead".  There's one big reason for that: this is a gaming podcast that actually is about gaming.  On occasion, I do enjoy the informal a-couple-of-friends-together joking-around-and-occasionally-talking-about-games podcasts, but lately I have found I lack the patience for them.  "Three Moves Ahead" talks about gaming, and talks about gaming in depth.

This podcast, by the way, is responsible for two recent gaming purchases (War Plan Pacific and Demigod).  In both cases, they dedicated a whole podcast to just that game (some might say they dedicated two to Demigod).  After the in-depth discussion with the game designer, I HAD to try out War Plan Pacific.  Even though their Demigod-dedicated podcast felt negative (they was talking about the final beta), enough there sounded interesting that I kept an eye on the game.  Needless to say, when the game came out and two of the people from the podcast stated that they loved the final game, it was an definite-purchase for me.

By the way, the latest podcast had Brad Wardell, and he discussed both the Demigod release problems and the upcoming Elemental.  While they didn't devote a whole show to Elemental (of course: this early, that would be silly), there was enough depth and interesting detail discussed that I know I'll be keeping an eye on that game!
