No, this isn't going to be anything particularly spectacular. This is where I will write about . . . gaming.

I was just at a Gamestop, and I saw Demigod sitting on the PC games shelf.  I asked a salesman if this was out already, and he said "it seems to be."  Odd.

Yes, apparently gamestop messed up and started selling the game.

Some warehouse employees and their trucking partners will receive a call from Ironclad, this Wednesday morning - too late.

Call it the proverbial Easter Egg tightly tucked in a few shipping crates or in a single lucky box with surprises. With that much "items" rollin' out of the assembly lines, there's bound to be a few errors creeping in. Game_never_stops.

Should be the 14th.  They could get in a bit of trouble for that.

It will be on tuesday.    I personally wouldn't say anything to anybody who might actually care just because I don't think release dates are really that important.   (i feel the same way about food at dinner.   Just bring it out when its done, we don't need to wait for the burger to get cold because the stake takes longer for some reason.  Some disagree, and I'm sure I could be lectured on why its important.   But really....  its all bureaucracy to me.)

I'll laugh when they pull them from the selves and then refuse to sell on the 14th because of that 'ship date vs. release date' BS.

edit:   ouch, it looks like the did the opposite.   Rather than sell it on the 14th like they augh (I suspected they wouldn't sell it until the 15th because they pull that stuff sometimes, instead they jip stardock and use by selling it early?   Gamestop *shakes head*

Anyways even if you buy your boxed copy before the release you won't be able to play since the game needs to unlock on impulse and be activated i think.

Only the beta serials are temporarily disabled. Retail copies should be able to register and update, but at this point we can't make any guarantees about the multiplayer experience since we were not expecting people to have the final game until Monday/Tuesday.

I had Demigod reserved at Gamestop. I was there to trade in some stuff and saw it on the shelf. Single player works fine. Multiplayer, can't find a game. Hadn't played the beta. The game is fun.
